The following Regular Maintenance items are NOT COVERED by Mercury Product Protection.

• Gasoline, lubricants, coolants, and other fluids
• Grease
• Filters and screens
• Hoses, belts, and bellows
• Water pumps and impellers (unless from a manufacturing defect)
• Thermostats
• Diaphragms and primer bulbs
• Fuses, light bulbs, breaker points
• Distributor caps, rotors, spark plugs
• Carburetor needle, seats, and float
• Trim tabs and other anodic protectors
• Paints, primers, and decals

Other Items NOT COVERED Under the Product Protection Plan:

• Failures and repairs occurring outside the 50 United States and Canada and their territorial waters
• Labor charges that exceed customary and reasonable levels
• Failures due to fire, theft, storm damage, submersion, impact, barnacle, or zebra mussel or aquatic vegetation growth
• Consequential expenses such as loss of time, lodging, etc
• Failures caused from competitive racing, commercial fishing, or other non-eligible product use
• Failures caused by a non-factory authorized modification or alteration of the Mercury, Mariner, or MerCruiser products
• Failures due to lack of/or improper maintenance, premature corrosion or electrolysis
• Seepage of fluids due to normal wear of seals, gaskets, or "O" rings
• Failures due to misuse, abuse or accident
• Reduction of performance due to normal wear
